Back to Max Mosley. His problem is the same as everybody's nowadays, as soon as they gain celebrity: their private life can't be kept private any more. The media know that stories about celebs' sex-lives sell their products. The excuse that the media put forward for their conduct is very lame: it is that by putting themselves in the public eye, celebs have made their lives open to intrusion. This is such obvious rubbish: it might wash with regard to pop stars and reality-show personalities, but it can hardly apply to people who have acquired fame by doing something really clever. It seems that Max Mosley has achieved quite a lot in the field of Formula 1 racing. Screeds of stuff on Wiki, too boring for me to read and digest - but it's there

I'm being discharged in a couple of hours time. I am still very ill, but there is no more that can be done for me here, or so they say. I'm dreading what life has in store for me

Can't see why myself. He's not a politician. Honestly, he'd have done better if he'd just let the Mail rattle on about his orgies until the srory stopped being profitable. MOREOVER, I do believe that your furry friend Tiddles, that ugly cat who used to hang around our Bermuda second home, ruining the look of the decor indoors and the garden outside, agrees with me

Ashtoreth: knowing when the information was obtained by the Mail really IS in the public interest. If Max Mosley has always been a fascist and an anti-Semite, we should have been told long before the Mail found it expedient to reveal it

Lucidity itself, Ruth But how does it matter when the Mail got the material?

Yes, tomorrow my shrink is going to tell me what's happening next. NICE
Mike visited, the first day he could get here after the snow. We're having a fast thaw. He's brought the newspapers from home, as usual. It's been fun reading reports in the Sunday Times about the Daily Mail/Max Mosley row, when I've been following it at first-hand all week, as the Mail is delivered here for patients. Along with the Sheffield Star. You'll be pleased that the Sunday Times' report is accurate. Except that it doesn't agree with me that the politically compromising material on Max Mosley has been held by the Mail for a long time. No doubt the truth on this will emerge in due course. Unless it doesn't, of course.

It wouldn't have anything to do with the colours pink and blue, would it?

Mm, not sure I should.....
